Photo tour Peloponnese

Breathtaking landscapes and photogenic Greek villages

Capture the unknown Greece

The Peloponnese is the largest peninsula in Greece. It has an ancient culture, a mountainous landscape, many still traditional villages and wherever you go the sea is never far away. A high-rate gastronomic culture, with cozy terraces and sunny beaches, and not yet really touristic.

We have organised an active photography tour for you with lots of photo opportunities, where you are coached by our professional teacher.

“I’ve learned so much along the way and finally I’m satisfied with my travel photos!”

For beginners and advanced photographers

This trip is suitable for the enthusiastic amateur photographer, both for beginners as well as advanced. Due to the small scale of our trips, the photografic coaching is tailored to everyone’s individual knowledge and experience.

We focus on the technique of photographing, but also on observation, on composition and on visualising what you want to show your audience. After all, photography is a means of telling a story.

Guidance

Suzana Gulevska is your tour guide.

Suzana lives in both Nafplion and the Netherlands and speaks fluent Greek and Dutch.

Programme

On this trip we follow a route through the beautiful and untouched landscape, and visit authentic villages of the Peloponnese. After a first overnight stay near Corinth we drive west along the north coast of the Peloponnese. In Diakopto we take a funicular railway train through the mountains to Kalavrita,  at an altitude of 750 meters. We visit the ‘hanging’ monastery of Dimitsana, we eat chestnut dishes in Kastanitsa and take swim in Astros.

We then cross the Parnon Mountains and visit the rugged mountainous area of Mani, with its famous fortified residential towers. We spend a full day in the photogenic, medieval, fortified town of Monemvasia. We conclude the trip with a visit to Nafplion, the former capital of Greece.

Different types of photography

We pay attention to landscape photography, street photography, architecture photography and evening photography. Of course technique is discussed, but also composition, the art of observation and translating your travel story into images. You shoot on the basis of assignments, or you get to work freely, because a lot is possible and nothing is necessary. We will regularly discuss and review the photos and so we inspire each other and learn from each other.

Accommodation and transport

We spend the nights in comfortable hotels en route and travel by minibus.
