Program overview

Embark on an unforgettable journey through authentic Greece, filled with stunning landscapes, rich history, and unique photography opportunities. This trip is not only a beautiful exploration of iconic locations such as Thessaloniki, Meteora, and Corfu but also an excellent chance to develop your photography skills. Guided by an experienced photographer, you’ll learn new techniques, receive valuable tips, and gain experience while capturing the magic of these destinations through your lens.

We begin in vibrant Thessaloniki, travel to the breathtaking Meteora, with its monasteries perched atop rugged rock formations, and head through the serene Arachtos National Park and the wild Tsoumerka Mountains to reach Zagorohoria, a region filled with traditional villages, historic stone bridges such as the “Kokkorou” Bridge, and the majestic Vikos Gorge.

Our journey continues to Ioannina, a city full of Ottoman charm by an idyllic lake, before taking a ferry to Corfu. Here, you’ll explore the Venetian splendor of Kerkyra, with its narrow streets and historic squares—a paradise for photographers. With carefully planned days, inspiring locations, and atmospheric accommodations, you’ll return home with not only beautiful memories and unique images but also an enriched photographic experience.

Photography Techniques

At the locations mentioned, we will work with different photographic disciplines, such as landscape photography, travel photography, architectural photography, and street photography. We’ll also stop regularly to capture spontaneous moments along the way.

You can work on assignments or take photos in your own style—there’s no pressure, and the possibilities are endless. For those interested, we will regularly review the photos together, inspiring and learning from one another.

Accommodations and Transportation

We’ll stay in beautiful hotels along the way, enjoy authentic Greek meals in local tavernas, and travel comfortably by minivan.

Day-by-Day Program

Day 1 – Thessaloniki »
Upon arrival at Thessaloniki Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our guides. We’ll travel comfortably by minivan to our centrally located hotel in the vibrant heart of the city. During lunch, our photographer will introduce the week’s program and discuss the approach and techniques we’ll use.

In the afternoon, we’ll dive straight into the city for an inspiring photography session. We’ll visit iconic locations such as the Rotunda, the Galerius Arch, and the bustling market, letting ourselves be swept away by the city’s colors and rhythm. The focus will be on street photography, capturing the dynamic energy of Thessaloniki. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a cozy dinner in Ladadika, a historic district full of charm and atmosphere near the harbor. A perfect start to an unforgettable week of photography and culture!
Day 2 – Thessaloniki to Meteora »
If we didn’t finish exploring Thessaloniki on Day 1, there will be enough time to visit the remaining locations. After a delicious breakfast, you can rediscover the city through your lens, with soft morning light creating beautiful details and ambiance. By midday, we’ll head toward the awe-inspiring Meteora, where impressive landscapes and unique photography opportunities await—a true paradise for every photographer.
Day 3 – Photography Day in Meteora »
In the picturesque village of Kastraki, located just outside Kalambaka, we’ll begin an unforgettable exploration of Meteora’s unique landscape. This fascinating area, characterized by impressive rock formations shaped by nature, inspired medieval monks to build seemingly unreachable monasteries on their peaks.

Later in the day, we’ll visit one or more of these extraordinary monasteries, which hold both spiritual significance and architectural mastery. After a day filled with impressions, we’ll return to our comfortable hotel in Kastraki, where you can relax and reflect on this unique experience.
Day 4 – Kalambaka - Chaliki – Zagori - Monodendri »
After a delicious breakfast, we continue our journey through the enchanting Arachtos National Park, a protected area known for its pristine beauty and majestic mountains. As we pass the rugged peaks of the Tsoumerka Mountains, we stop in the secluded and charming village of Chaliki. Here, we’ll enjoy a relaxing picnic or lunch amidst serene nature.

Next, we head north toward Metsovo, a mountain village famous for its traditional cheese and wine, before reaching the stunning Zagorohoria region, renowned for its traditional villages and spectacular landscapes. The day concludes in the picturesque Monodendri, where we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and stay overnight in a charming hotel surrounded by the tranquility of this unique mountain village.
Day 5 – Photography Day in Zagarohoria »

This photography day focuses on exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the Pindos Mountains. We’ll discover remarkable spots such as the world-famous Vikos Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world and a protected nature reserve.

Along the way, we admire the numerous stone arch bridges that make this region so special, such as the iconic “Kokkorou” Bridge. These historic masterpieces, with their unique architecture and harmony with the natural surroundings, are not only an important part of the local culture but also offer fantastic photography opportunities.

We’ll also explore traditional villages where time seems to stand still, soaking in their serene charm. Our journey takes us to the high-altitude Papingo, where we’ll pause for a delightful lunch in a picturesque setting. Later, we’ll visit the unique natural pools of Kolimbithres, carved out by the river—a photogenic spectacle that invites you to capture nature’s magic. We end this inspiring day with a cozy dinner and a relaxing overnight stay in the charming village of Monodendri. A day filled with nature, culture, and unforgettable moments!
Day 6 – Monodendri to Ioanina to Corfu »
After a tasty breakfast, we head to the historic city of Ioannina, beautifully situated on the shores of a large lake. In the middle of this serene water lies a charming island, once the seat of the famous Turkish governor Ali Pasha during the Ottoman era. We’ll take a relaxing walk through Ioannina’s atmospheric streets and enjoy the unique ambiance of this historic city.

We then travel to Igoumenitsa, where we board the ferry to Corfu. During the 1.5-hour crossing, we’ll enjoy breathtaking views over the sparkling waters of the Ionian Sea. Upon arrival, we’ll be welcomed by a panoramic view of Kerkyra, the elegant capital of Corfu, known for its Venetian charm. Here, we will spend the next two nights, surrounded by the charm and allure of this beautiful island. A perfect blend of culture, nature, and relaxation!
Day 7 – Photography Day in Kerkyra (Corfu Town) »

This originally Venetian city, once the beloved retreat of Empress Sisi, is a true gem for photographers. We wander through the enchanting old town, nestled within the imposing walls of the historic citadel. Here, you’ll find a labyrinth of narrow streets, colorful houses, and stunning historic buildings that continuously surprise you. Cozy squares with inviting terraces and charming corners offer countless opportunities for capturing beautiful photos. Everywhere you look, the city exudes charm and history, making it perfect for capturing the magic of this extraordinary island. We end the day with an atmospheric dinner and spend another night in the city to fully enjoy its unique ambiance.
Day 8 – Corfu Airport »

After a final delicious breakfast, we will take you to Corfu Town’s airport. As you reflect on the unforgettable moments, stunning landscapes, and rich culture we have explored together, we bid farewell to this enchanting island. This journey has taken you through the real Greece, filled with authentic experiences and unique photo opportunities. With a suitcase full of memories and a heart full of inspiration, we return home. Farewell, and hopefully, until the next adventure!
